The State Beach at Misquamicut Rhode Island is situated on a barrier beach between Winnapaug Pond and Block Island Sound. In 1999, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management replaced the pavillion at the beach. The new pavillion is built behind the dune line. The old one sat atop the dunes (ouch!).
